My hair is naturally black and I dyed it with the Loreal natural match brown black -3W .. but ...?

My hair still looks black!

How long will it take for the brown to show?

Do I have to wash it a lot?

I want my hair to look like how the hair color box said it would look.

I made a lot of money off people like you when I used to be a colorist. You are not a hairstylist... do not attempt this yourself ever again. Find a reputable salon in your area and ask for a consultation with the colorist. At the consultation tell the colorist EVERYTHING you have done or had done to your hair so that he or she can accurately asses your situation. If you leave out any details, like previous chemical applications, you will get a bad result again. When you buy a box/kit at the drugstore, they do not say it is guaranteed to come out like the model. The model on the box had her hair BLEACHED white and colored with the product after to get the perfect shade. Haircolor is a science, not arts and crafts.

you would have to dye it at least two more times to get the color you desire especially when working with black haircolor ( dyed or not dyed).

you should have gone with a lighter color. if you know a beautican that you trust ask her what you should use.

you need to get a different brand, and do a lighter brown than before.if you do one that is close to your own, then it wont actually show up.Hope I helped!

maybe, you dodnt leave it in long enough... or, it is too light for you...

The brown may show some under certain lighting conditions but many years ago I tried the same thing but with a mohagany color...I was dying it like every 2 weeks just to have some of the color show...the black pigment in your hair is resilient to traditional out of the box coloring....the only way to really change the color of your hair is to get a frost where a thick bleaching agent is applied...If you have a good hairdresser or colorist...they should be able to take your hair down to a color you desire in brown...I get a frost and some of my hair is really light blonde (which I love) thru a tawny brown color but then I also have the solution on for about 15 minutes. I would imagine that less time would lessen the blonding effect. Good Luck to you!!!
