Sweeping with a broom is the obvious choice, but I'm looking for something that might pick it up a little better in a hurry. My hair is dark %26amp; I shed alot. It shows up on our white linoleum.

Neither, I hate both. In the long run, they just end up costing you extra $$$ with no real great advantage. However, the Swiffer Duster is amazing.

We have a black, long-haired dog which sheds like it is spring year around. Sweeping moves the hair around the floor and leaves a mess.
I use a vacuum. When I'm finished with the carpet, I run it over the kitchen floor. Then I mop it.

I clean houses,plus my own. I have two dogs and they shed like crazy so I have used both they are pretty good for just daily use, but for deep cleaning I usually use a sweeper and then wet mop.

I love my swivel sweeper because I use it a couple of times a day on my tile floors, laminate floors and area rug, to pick up shedding dog fur. The dog is just visiting so I don't think this will be a permanent problem.
I hesitated to buy the swivel but am very glad I did.
