I am a licensed cosmetologist. Wavy/curly hair is a kind of texture that requires a little more attention. It is best that you keep up with your trims then you may find that the hair will be more less frizzy and alot more manageable. You mentioned that you would like to keep the length. What i recommend, first a trim. Go to a professional stylist that you can trust. Be sure that before the stylist begins to trim your hair that they are sure they know the look you are trying to achieve. Also, be sure that you keep treating your hair with a good treatment such as a deep conditioner. If you keep treating it with a deep conditioner weekly you will find that your hair is more manageable. It will keep your hair looking healthy. If you keep up with your trims and deep conditioning you can wear it in any style and it will look amazing! Also try to use professional products. They are more expensive but i guarrantee that you will notice the difference. Trust me, it's worth it!

Ok so I have naturally long, brown (on the darker side of brown but not too dark) hair and I have been dying it an auburn color for about 2 years..It is a pretty bright reddish-brown...So I got tired of the red and wanted to go dark brown...I purchased Loral Superior Professional dark ash brown, and I chose the ash because a friend of mine who does hair said that ash is supposed to eliminate any red tones..
So I died it and it came out pretty nice, dark brown almost black but each day I washed it, it seemed to show more and more red and lighten up..So now (2 weeks later) it is kind of like what I had before but with more brown in it, but you can see a lot of the red high lights..
I know that red is so hard to get out of hair so I don't know what to do..If I dye it the same color that I just did, do you think it will eliminate more of the red?
Should I just go darker or even a natural black? My skin tone gives me a lot of flexibilty so I'm sure it wouldn't look bad

Go to a professional and have the dye "lifted" from your hair. Then you can start fresh. It's quite an extensive process and probably somewhat expensive but I think you will be happy to start fresh again. If your friend does hair, she should have been able to explain this to you in the first place.
Of course, another alternative is to let it grow out and slowly cut off the old dyed hair little by little...

Well that choppy bob is the standard at emo shows here in Newfoundland.Theres also a more assymetrical style that shorter in the back and angled longer in the front. It can easily be acheived on any length by yourself or with the help of a friend.Alot of emo chicks up here do funky updos too.Anyway that's about all I know about emo hair!

I cut my own hair, not in an emo style, but it is possible to cut your own hair if you want to. Choppy styles are easier because you don't have to try to get anything straight!
Don't cut too much in one go or you might regret it, just take it slow. Hold your fingers upwards and take sections of your hair that way (vertical not horizontal) so you don't end up with any horrific "steps". Cut at angles and move the scissors round while you cut so it's not too blunt. Hold the scissors so they're pointing in the same direction as the end of the hair, (so you're cutting into the ends), to finish off. That will stop it being so blunt too.

Use a mirror to check the back and be confident. Also remember it won't look any good when it's first cut, you'll need to wash, dry and style it to see what it looks like.

I just got foil lowlights in my hair. I have been doing a pretty light blonde hair for years and I had roots showing when I went in (about a light to medium brown root). I got a light brown color to compliment the blonde, but you can still see a line where the roots were...it looks like the roots were not even touched at all.
My hairstylist looked a little surprised, but said this is just because it is my first time to get the foil lowlights and that it will look better when I get my next set next month.
Does anyone know if this is true? I like the color, but I don't want the roots to be like this all the time...
I don't know if your previous color was all over, but that is a line that is hard to break. The low and high-lights are the beginning with a few tricks. They should be back-to-back and done in a heavy randon pattern. It will break-up with each visit, but I would call her and ask for another appt., that's hard to do, I know, you might open yourself to paying just a bit for this a bit more of a color correction, she should meet you for this should have been discussed. This will eventually help with such defined regrowth. Your stylist did the right thing, just not heavy enough. Give her a chance, this could have gone many ways. You can create a relationship if she responds well. Good luck to you!
That is such BS! Your stylist obviously didn't do a good enough job and then tried to act like they knew what they were doing by telling you that! If you go to a good hairdresser that knows what they are doing you will definitely walk out of there with no roots showing no matter what color or style you get. And also why do you need to get another set "next month"? You shouldn't need to get your hair done any more often that 6 to 8 weeks, that's how long a professional salon recommends before you would actually "lose your style" and need it redone.
When they put in the low lights she should have alternated with hi-lights, I have gotten low/high lights for about 12 years and I get foils done. The first time you get low lights they should still go really heavy on the blonde so that you don't get the heavy roots look, you should be able to go back and have the stylist add more blonde highlights and gradually add in more low lights each time you go. Eventually I think you will like the look, but it will be a change if you were a really light blond.
I think the overall look is much more natural looking and you will find that you dont have to get your roots done as often, now I have my hair highlighted only with occasional low lights but my dark has fully grown out so you don't need as many. I can usually go about 8-12 weeks between highlights.

Usually the clips are opened by pushing both ends toward the
center, then after you have parted your hair a inch or so down from the top of your head, take the extension and set the comb side of the clip into your hair, then press from the top until the clip closes. Some extensions are just a couple of inches in width, some are 5 or six and have multiple clips.
Just make sure that you have enough hair clipped up so when
you unclip your own hair it is enough to cover the weft (cloth
and clips) so it doesn't show thru. If you are using multiple

Does shorter hair make a person appear older? I tend to think longer hair on women makes us look younger. I'm 20 and have shoulder length hair. I feel as though it makes me look younger than I am, and am wondering what would be a nice change in making me appear my actual age? Shorter hair is definelty for older women. Try looking at pictures of like katie holmes. her hair now is short. but she had a longer style that made her look very sofisticated and her age. Just don't do anything drastic, so a little at a time is the way to go. Too much at one time just might scare you.
the wavy look is in so maybe in sted of getting it cut may be just curl it and put into a low side pony tail or clip the top front part of your hair back and you should look your age. that and fashionable.
It's funny you should ask that...I've always had long hair and about a year and a half ago I got it cut to above my shoulders. I had several people tell me I looked older - but then I had a few say I looked younger! I think that, and the variety of answers you've gotten previous to this, indicates that it's all in your perception. If your perception is that it'll make you look older, go for it! Go for layers - they can be cut to frame your face shape and they add texture and dimension to shorter styles. Here's the key: no matter your hair length, if it's well-maintained and polished, you'll look older.
My opinion is that it depends on the shape of your face and body. Short hair doesn't do justice on a plump face, yet can look hip on more narrow. Too long can look sloppy on both. ok take deep breath. Sims 2 can be a total pain in the *** when it comes to downloads until you get the hang of it. First you have to make sure you make a file for your downloads. I named mine downloads. Also make sure everything is unziped right to that download. When you start up the game it will say it has found some files and wants to know if you are allowing them or blocking them make sure you click the right thing. I've been recently been looking into this because I love doing all my friends hair crazy and was thinking about cosmetology school. I've also been making patterned extensions for myself and was thinking maybe I'll take it to the next level and start making them and selling them. I love crazy hair but the thing for me has always been too much synthetic, and not unique, it all looks the same just different colors. I was thinking of making some kind of arty wigs, but I want to look at more hairstyles and salons to see more about this.

It will not show up on dark hair .. to make the pink show you will need to lighten your hair first.
It might not barely show. I got red in my hair and I have dark brown as well. I only got streaks. They went away fast. Yours will probably fade fast. It won't turn that pink but if you had bought a VERY bright pink then it should turn out a milder pink. If you bought a darker pink, good luck. It might turn out like blondish like make your hair lighter. I am not sure so don't hold me to it!
Probably not very well, if at all. It might look good if you use a highlighting kit, and put in blond highlights. Then use the pink stuff. That way you will have dark brown hair with pink highlights.

Okay, you will probably get a rich pink glow on your scalp and at the ends of your hair where it would be naturally more porous.

It really depends on the brand... I have dark brown hair too, and when I tried to dye mine pink (using "Raw" from Hottopic), it didn't show up at all. I again tried dying my hair red and blue, using "Color Fiend", and it, again, didn't show up. Now, I have a completely one-toned hair color, if you have dirty blonde or blonde highlights, the pink may show up very subtly on them. It will, without a doubt, not show up the color the label shows, for that you have to bleach your hair. Bleaching your hair is a very simple and easy process, you can buy a bottle at Hottopic for $13, it comes with instructions, bleach, conditioner, gloves, and a brush for application. If you don't want your hair to be platinum blonde, then leave it in for less time. 5 minutes will give you very light brown-dirty blonde, 10 minutes will give you blonde. Without the bleach, you will have wasted your money on the pink dye.

my kids softball team is the Pink Panthers, I want to show my support and team spirit by having the underneath to side of my hair have pink stripes. It's a dark bright pink not a wimpy pink. I have long, to my waste, virgin medium dark brown hair. It is a little layered, I mostly where it in pony tails up on my head or braids. So, which is better, cheaper, and when I'm done?
Well since your hair is virgin medium brown, I would definitely recommend trying out the clip-in extensions first. If you really end up liking it, you could always have your hair bleached and then colored hot pink.

DONT DYE IT!!!!!! Get the extensions. To get you dark brown hair bright pink you would have to BLEACH the heck out of it then Dye it pink its going to be VERY VERY HARSH You can buy the extensions your self and get a friend to just glue them in

Depending on the material whether it's synthetic or real human hair. I doubt box bought hair colors will react well enough to be held in the strands with synthetic hair.
If you buy real hair there is a better chance, also it'll give you the freedom of applying styles to it such as straightening or curling.
If you go through ebay and do a search on "Clip on hair extensions", there are a great variety of hairs, colors and styles for a lower price, organized by color, length, material, amount, etc. You can also find already dyed hair pieces by sellers, such as leopard prints, racoon prints and even dread locks :)

I wouldn't do it, unless you are short on time and have little or no other options.
Typically the clip on hair pieces don't last a real long time. So, given the quality of standard one, I probably wouldn't do it. But again, if you're in a pinch ....can't hurt to try it.
If it's human hair, that's a different story. But even then, I still probably wouln't doi it.

Go to a salon and get a trim and a reconstructive treatment. The treatments aren't expensive. The reason your hands get caught at the ends is because you have split ends. Once you get them cut off and get the conditioning (reconstructive) treatment, you'll be fine. I get the same thing when I get split ends. My comb gets caught and my hair gets tangled, but only at the ends. So I go now to the salon regularly.

Based on the picture, you just need high cut layers.
When you cut the hair high it tends to turn wavy. The reason why its straight in the picture is because she used a hair straightener.
The top of her hair also looks puffy and that can come by waking up from bed LOL. If your hair isn't like that then you can tease it to puffen the top as well. Or use hair products.
Also, in my opinion. I think that if you have a hair expeirneced friend then she/he can cut it themselves. I find this hair really easy to get.. Also. If you insist on goign to a store. Not trying to be racist or anything but HONESTLY. Asians are super good at this hairstyle. If you noticed.. a lot of asians have this kind of hair cut whether if they are in Asia or in North America.

My natural hair color is very dark brown and I tried some lighter highlights. When my roots started to show I wanted to go back to my natural color so I tried "soft black" hair dye. I hate it now and I would love to go back to dark dark brown. Will it eventually fade away? I've been doing dawn dishsoap and leaving conditioner in my hair for 1/2 hour and I see a LITTLE color come out in the sink...

I did something very similar as you did and it took a loooong time to fade! I tried dyeing a brown over it but that didn't work. I went to a salon and they said I would have to have the color lifted and corrected which is an expensive and long process. The good news is that it does fade...you just need to be patient and don't mess around with it. Give it some time and it'll be ok. Good Luck

Honestly? Just leave your hair alone. Leaving chemicals in your hair like that is going to do more damange than anything else.
Let nature take its course and let your hair grow. It will also fade in time.
It will fade a bit in time, but you're pretty much stuck with it, sorry. You could always go to the hairdresser in a few weeks and have some highlights put in... not blond ones, but medium/dark brown ones to make the hair look lighter overall.
Wait for it to grow out and cut it.
Otherwise, try finding some miricle hair dye removal stuff, and check to see if it is or isn't pernament dye.
Or just dye it your original hair color. Which probably will work.
It will eventually, but it won't happen fast enough for you to notice from day to day. Just take a snapshot of your hair every day for a week or two and you'll be able to see how quickly or slowly it's fading. A drop or two of hydrogen peroxide in your shampoo -might- also help, but only if you're sure it won't damage your hair. If you have thin or fragile hair, or have ever had a bad reaction to a peroxide dye job, then just disregard that part.

yes it will but it will be like 2 or 3 months before it starts to take full effect so redye it every 2 months. and you should already kno your hair will grow and your roots will show.
It will fade but not much. Don't use dishsoap in your hair, that's really bad for it. A swimmers shampoo might work. If it will help take out green tones in hair, it could help to fade the black a little.
Ok, so it's dye. Everyone's hair eventually goes lighter and lighter. My hair is naturally dark-ish brown and i've dyed it lighter, and then to black. It's always going to fade when you dye. You just have to wait until it does or just simply re-dye it. My mother is a hair stylist, and you can re-dye it many times as long as you know that it's not damaging your hair. if it's thing the most you want to dye it is twice around the same time. hope this helps [:

My school is going to have the first talent show of the year on the 10th of january. I'm going to sing a song for the show but a lot of people hate me and well i don't want people to make fun of me becuase no one applausesed. I had a disastrous day at the hair salon...I told them i wanted darker hair (my hair was light brown) and she highlighted it with dark and blond chunks and I hated it so they just died over it really dark. Now its a darker brown with red highlights and i hate it. How can i lighten it or get rid of the red? How long will it take? I have been using Dawn and Prell but I dont see a difference. If i strip the color will the blond highlights show? HELP please!!!
red is the hardest color to get rid off, there will always be some red shine left. only at a salon they can get rid of it but if you dont want to go to a salon and spend a lot of money, you can color it yourself with very dark brown color.
At most salon stores they have a product called(red out) try using a lighter brown color with a neutral base and using that in the product......if you do it yourself.....if not you may have to go to another salon and have it fixed
see what is the base color of the color u have used. its on the back of container. if its blue, then used a color that base is orange-if red, used a green base color, purple, used a gold or yellow base. it u try this your hair will turn neutral; meaning brown. or you can do a hold new color -which going to need a higher volume.
Use a product called red out. If not use any color similar but with an ash tone in it. Ash kills the golden or reddish look. U should get it done professionally if unsure. Hope this helps =)

Ok, one evening a couple months ago, i was watching cartoon network. it was kinda late (don't remember the exact time) and this cool anime show came on. i could tell it was a Japaneses made show. its about this guy who looks about 20, and he has red hair. when he gets into a fight, he gets a golden armor around his arm. in this episode, he was using "Blitz's" i think for attacks. he had three of em till he lost his armor. He was fighting this BIG monster type guy controlled by another human. o and he seems to have duel personalities. If you know the name of this show, i would really appreciate it. what you do is use a round brush and brush them outwards so they flip out and blow dry at the same time.

Hi sorry I'm here a bit late. Golden's fur especially females usually are not going to have the full feathering that males have. Plus she is too young yet to see if she does develope that kind of fur/feathering your looking for. Right now she has her adolesnt fur which mean she doesn't have her adult fur in yet. She should be developing it very soon. By 18 months old she will have most of her adult fur in. With out seeing her it's difficult for me to say.
If your feeding her high quality food and grooming her so her coat is at it's best no matter what than it just a matter of time before her adult fur comes in. Also at 8 months old to a year they tend to look a bit funny. There are puppy conformation trials you can get your girl into to see what she looks like compaired to other Golden's her age. You can go to the AKC site to find these shows in your area or go to the GRA.org to look to see what they may be doing in your area. Also I would suggest you have you and her in handeling classes. Look for a good trainer for this.

She is just a puppy, she will grow in her adult coat soon enough. To keep her coat shiny, make sure you are feeding a good quality food, found at a pet store (PetSmart or Petco) and not in a grocery store or Walmart. You could also give a small can of Salmon once a week which will help her coat and give it shine.

Have you or anyone in your family ever shown dogs before? If not, you should have her in handling classes usually held by a local dog club. At the class you will meet other people that show dogs and perhaps get people knowledgeable enough to help you evaluate your dog to see if she is worthy of showing or not. Just being registered does not deem a dog worthy of being taken into the show ring. This does not eliminate you taking your dog to other AKC events if she doesn't qualify for the conformation ring. There is obedience, agility, field trials, many events that you and your dog could do together and have a fantastic time together.
As far as her coat, be certain you are feeding a quality kibble, brush her daily and don't let her get tangles. If she is going in and out of an air conditioned house, it will affect how her coat grows. It isn't a negative, you will just have to remember that she is living in air conditioning which affects the normal cycle of shedding. Some dogs 'blow coat' after a heat cycle or just due to the time of year.
Did your breeder sell her to you as show quality? Do you have a mentor to help you? Ideally the mentor would be the breeder, but sometimes that isn't possible.

At 8 months old, her "puppy hair" should be almost gone. If she is sparse in spots or thinning in spots it could be a number of things. Just cause she's AKC, doesn't mean she will be perfect. It just means dogs in her line have been registered with the club and so has she. I would start with feeding her an "all natural diet" (look for them in better pet stores" Something with no preservatives made with real meat and veggies like Innova Evo. If after a month or so on the food and there are still no changes in her coat, have her thyroid checked, and also checked for allergies. There is no need to feed her salmon or other oily grit if your feeding her a good all natural food. Salmon and other oils are good for the coat, but also fattning. Can't show a fat dog as well as a hairless one!! You can also try some shampoos and coat conditioners as well. There are so many on the market today to choose from it can be so confusing. My personal favorite line is Biogroom. They have a coat conditioning spray/mist that I've had fantastic results with. Please try the all natural diet first along with the shampoos and condition sprays, then the tests at the vet. Stay away from the oils. I bet she starts growing a impressive coat within a month after being on the Innova Evo dry food. Try it, you've got nothing to loose and a beautiful dog to gain. And no, I don't work for any company. I know all this for fact after seeing unbelievable results myself on dogs with similar coats. Good luck.
Is she from parents who were shown or have their championships....what is her pedigree like? How are the parents coats? The puppy will tend to have a coat like the parents. I would think she would have coat by 8 mos of age. If she doesn't, she may not be good enough for show. I believe a nice coat is a big factor in Golden's and how the dog does in the show ring. If you bought her from a breeder who shows, she/he should be able to tell you if your dog is good enough to compete....the golden class is very competitive. You should have been taking her to conformation classes already and could have started showing her at 6 mos of age. You will want to get her out there around other dogs so she is used to noise and other dogs. It's important for a show dog to be comfortable around shows and all the noise and dogs that are at dog shows. If you can, it helps to belong to your local golden retriever club and the national golden club....this will give you the opportunity to meet other golden retriever owners and breeders and they can always help you evaluate your puppy and help with the pros and cons of showing. I started getting ingrown hair 2 yrs ago, I'm now 21. I don't know how it started, but 2 years ago I kept getting ingrown hair and I had been waxing, someone told me maybe my skin is too sensitive so i stopped and began to shave and believe it or not it made it better. I do still however get REALLY BAD INGROWN HAIR, If you look at my leg from the side you see bumps sticking out that's how bad. I tried all the oils, tend skin, and creams, I don't get it. I can't afford lazer so that's out and I'm TOO SHY to show my legs to a doctor because it's really that bad. From my knee down i have red bumps and some are really bad. I even tried passing rubbing alcohol after a shower because i heard that might help BUT no luck. Does anyone else have the same problem I feel so weird with this I can't even wear dresses or shorts or even go swimming :o( I don't understand how it came out of no where.

It is when you shave you get the hair just at the right angle to grow sideways. Then it is in your skin... If you get a needle and try to pull it out, it should come out. Look on Google or Yahoo... they should tell you the same things.

Suck it up, pay the $200 to see a dermatologist. They will give you a strait answer. I would have said tend skin because that has worked for me.
This sounds a little gross but I have done medical procedures on myself before. It can hurt but what ever. Go buy a scalpel from a medical supply store or online and try slicing at the base of the ingrown hair. Squeeze out the root. See how that one heels and if it works move on.

I really don't think it matters much what kind of shampoo that you use. I have used both regular and for color treated hair.
I naturally have light brown hair; highlight it blonde. Every time I wash it, the blonde fades off and my hair gets darker; so I have the exact opposite problem from you. However, I do have friends with dark hair who color it and their hair gets lighter with each shampooing. I think it's just one of those facts of life.
Everyone's hair is different, so you just have to experiment. If I were you, I would almost go for the darker, knowing that it will lighten up. I am assuming that you are trying to cover up grey, regardless of your age.
If you are trying to cover grey, you may want to consider blonde or caramel highlights. As you age, blonde hair is much easier to maintain. Hope this helps!
i really hate to tell you this but i know from expereince. box colors are one of the worst things you can do for your hair. even long after you stop using them they stain your hair. i know what you mean. mine used to do the same and the more you use box colors the worse its gonna look. some people say to just dye your roots after the first initial dye, but i dont believe any box color will ever look natural or the way you want it. the only thing i can suggest is you can actually find salons that will gradually dye your hair a better color and get it looking natural in the color you want. also, i know having it professionaly dyed can be expensive, but for example, when i get my hair dyed they mix a conditioner for me for a reasonable price that contains hair dyes and you use it once a week like a cream rinse and it keeps your roots matching your hair. since i have been using it i havent had to have my hair dyed in over a year. places that carry john frida or aveda i know can do this for you. im not sure of other brands
maybe its cause ur hair dye was too much of a change and you din bleach it first so ur hair keeps going back.

Well everyones hair goes lighter after they dye it a darker colour (Thats for when the dye comes out)
And unless it's permanent the colour will fade because of the shampoo, because shampoo cleans your hair, conditioner takes the knots out so thats fine, and water with no chemicals is fine for hair when it's dyed but that may only be semi-permanent ...

Okay so right now I have brown straight hair that is kind of long. I'm looking for a cute (not Hello Kitty Cute but a hot teenager look) new hair style that'll amaze everyone when I get back to school. I remember this cute Hair Style I saw on an advertisement or on a solon's wall or something. It was so cute and I just had to have it. But I need to show my parents and make sure its pretty cheap (like below $50). I saw it on a person that kinda looked Korean like the one in 200 Pounds Of Beauty. And she had beautyful hair that was kinda curly (not curly like curly fries) but kinda straight at the same time. I know this doesnt make any sense but if you know what I'm talking about then please post a picture so I can look at it.

I would say go blonde with layers cause that's what I have and I love it. i wouldn't change my hairstyle again. It was the best thing I did. It looks more cool when I have it straightened. I feel as if I could go to a rock concert. I have gooten many compliments on my hair. Another style I would suggest is getting blonde highlights and layers thats what I started out with when I turned 13. Have fun and don't anything too drastic.

I dyed my base medium brown, with golden highlights. The last time i dyed it was 5 months ago, so i have a good 3 inches of roots showing.
When i first dyed my hair, the color was perfect, over time it faded a ton, i used paul mitchell. My hair is to the middle of my back, i just cut it 6 inches, pretty much all my dry hair is gone. Should i recolor the whole thing, even if its faded dramatically, or should i just retouch it? Will the highlights and dye completely frizz my hair out?

HAHA! I've noticed that too! It's all about making sure she looks her best. I tell you what i've noticed more is that she's the next oprah. With her new talk show, and the fact her weight fluctuates up and down like nobody's business! And, the only people who actually eat her food are the tech guys anyway, im sure they wouldn't mind a little extra protein in their diet.

because i was watching the Tyra show yesterday and there was this korean girl on there who died her hair completely blonde and another girl told her it looked strange on here...i think it looked ok but do u think dying ur hair something different isnt natural

It is their hair and technically anyone can do what they want with their own hair.
I just wish some women realized how ridiculous they look.

I prefer natural hair unless the dye is to hide grey hair. Not that I am going to dye mine :-)
Some people look better with a different color other than their natural color, but if you see them all the time, you probably wouldn't like it at first....you have to get used to it.
Going darker usually looks better than going lighter.
Bottle blondes always look so fake I think its gross. Why try to be something you're not? Be happy with your own color.
To each their own. If someone wants to do who are we tell them no. I would perfer natural; but that is my thoughts on it.

LMFAO definitly dont shave anything lol....moose that baby UP... lol i have curly hair too.... play it and show it off.... DEF moose it to get rid of friz, a little hairspray and ur good to go!
you can go get it cut and get layers which will make your curls look cuter and then get bangs... that way if you want it curly you just put gel in it and when you want it straight, just straighten it... you will need a straightener. Then you can part your bangs on the side.
I have wavy/curly hair. It's long - over 8". Full head of it. It's also very thick (volume), and brown.
I sort have that Jesus look going, and everyone is telling me I need a haircut. I want to keep my hair relatively long, though.

I am a licensed cosmetologist. Wavy/curly hair is a kind of texture that requires a little more attention. It is best that you keep up with your trims then you may find that the hair will be more less frizzy and alot more manageable. You mentioned that you would like to keep the length. What i recommend, first a trim. Go to a professional stylist that you can trust. Be sure that before the stylist begins to trim your hair that they are sure they know the look you are trying to achieve. Also, be sure that you keep treating your hair with a good treatment such as a deep conditioner. If you keep treating it with a deep conditioner weekly you will find that your hair is more manageable. It will keep your hair looking healthy. If you keep up with your trims and deep conditioning you can wear it in any style and it will look amazing! Also try to use professional products. They are more expensive but i guarrantee that you will notice the difference. Trust me, it's worth it!

My friend dyed her hair that color. She bought it at Kmart. I checked it out there and there are 3 purple shades that they sell. She got the darkest one. good luck.
Go to a hair supply store and lots of color and people to help you and even extra hair if you need it.. that color is like a Feria-loreal color -- dark shade - thats purpleish but clariol has a color that might work but is is more reddish. Good luck.. a wash maybe.

I want to dye it black with a midnight blue tips and underneath and then i am going to cut it in the back so that the tips and stuff show up better and just get a good cut for it all

coloring your hair black is not a problem. Use the darkest black possible. Black will cover over what you have on your hair now. Cutting layers into it will help to see the blue you want, however.. you will have to bleach the tips and the underneath in order for the blue to adhere and take to your hair. It won't work if you apply blue over top of what you have now. Now, being a stylist,.... and understanding money is a factor... if you do it yourself with your friends help... and it gets messed up, it will cost you a lot more to have it fixed professionaly opposed to going to a salon and having it done in the first place. But if you insist on doing it..... bleach must be used to remove all that old color. The condition of your plays a factor too. If it's dry, brittle or porous, the bleach may cause breakage. And with the red in your hair now... using bleach will result in a copper, or even a pinkish color. It has to 'eat' through all that old color and your underlyining pigment. It has to reach a pale yellow color, or if lucky enough, a gold shade.... then rinse the bleach off, and apply the blue. Read the directions. Bleach can be a bad thing if you dont' know what you're doing. You will need to keep a close eye on it during the bleach out process. This isn't something I recommend for someone to do at home, (no matter how fun it seems). But if you do it... good luck.

I have the hot mahogany loreal color pulse %26amp; i lost the instructions..My hair is naturally curly %26amp; black but i straighten it %26amp; it was relaxed last month. I heard that for relaxed/colored hair its suppose 2 stay on for 5 minutes. I tried that but the color was not showing. How long should i keep it on so the color could show off? 30 minutes or so..?
If you have black hair, your are mostly likely not going to see the red. You can't lighten very dark hair with color very much...you have to prelighten it then tone with color. But I wouldn't recommend lightening relaxed hair on your own...it could fry it.
I believe you're suppose to leave it on for 25 minutes...
